A Sacred Journey: Walk in the Footsteps of the Faithful
Seeing the Holy Kaaba for the first time is an experience like no other. As you step onto the cool marble, the noise around you fades. With an open heart and deep emotion, you raise your hands to begin Tawaf—a central part and the true heart of both Hajj and Umrah.
Our 7 Nights 3-Star Umrah Package is designed to give you an easy, reliable, and guided trip, so you can focus completely on your worship and prayers.
What is Tawaf?
In simple terms, Tawaf means walking around the Holy Kaaba in an anti-clockwise direction, joining thousands of other believers in remembering and praising Allah.
- How many rounds is 1 Tawaf?
- One full Tawaf is exactly 7 rounds, starting and finishing at the corner of the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad).
- Why do we circle 7 times?
- We follow the exact way taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Completing all seven rounds shows full devotion and dedication to Allah.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Perform Tawaf
- Be in Wudu: Make sure you are clean and have fresh ablution before entering the prayer area around the Kaaba.
- Right Shoulder Open (Men Only): Men uncover their right shoulder by placing the top Ihram sheet under the right arm and over the left shoulder.
- Make Your Intention (Niyyah): Stand facing the Black Stone corner and make your silent intention in your heart to perform Tawaf.
- Start the Round: Raise your hands toward the Black Stone and say "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar".
- Walk the 7 Rounds:
- Men should walk briskly with small steps during the first 3 rounds, then walk normally for the remaining 4 rounds. Women walk normally throughout.
- Make your own personal prayers (duas), recite Quran, or praise Allah.
- Between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, it is Sunnah to recite: "Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanah wa fil-akhirati hasanah wa qina 'adhaban-nar."
- Cover the Shoulder & Pray 2 Units: Cover both shoulders again, then pray two units (rakats) of voluntary prayer behind Maqam Ibrahim (or anywhere in the mosque if it is full).
- Drink Zamzam: Drink Zamzam water to refresh yourself before walking between Safa and Marwah for Sa'i.
Walking Distances & Help for Elderly Pilgrims
- Ground Floor (Near the Kaaba): One round is around 200 to 500 meters depending on the crowd. The total distance for all 7 rounds is roughly 1.4 km to 3.5 km.
- First Floor & Roof: Because these levels are wider, the walking distance is longer—usually 4.5 km to 5.5 km for all 7 rounds.
- Wheelchairs & Electric Carts: Pilgrims who find it hard to walk can hire licensed wheelchair helpers or use electric carts on the upper levels.
